My passion for fashion design and particularly streetwear has been an ongoing interest of mine and has led me to create own clothing brand called “DOOB”. Formed in 2018, the brand was created through a variety of influences growing up in Sydney’s inner west. All designs are influenced by themes relating to the sneaker, streetwear and music scene.
The term “DOOB” is derived from an indigenous word meaning “attractive” and “appealing”. The word is a common slang word used in Sydney’s inner west and particularly my social circles. My brand partner who is an Indigenous Australian, felt this was a great word to use for our brand as it demonstrates the environment we’ve come from.
So far I have created a variety of t-shirts in a range of designs that have sold out. You can see my designs in the photoshoots of this blog. All photographs are curated and shot by me.
My brand partner and I are in the process of extending our t-shirts collection and creating designs for hooded jumpers, hats, shorts and fashion accessories. The brand has been a huge success and our designs have received positive feedbacks from streetwear enthusiasts. Our designs are also available on our instagram page which is featured below.
